Who should be on the radar for the Raptors in the 2009 NBA Draft
If Toronto chooses to trade down [from No. 9, overall], on June 25, into the latter half of the 1st Round and/or the 2nd Round:
[continuing from what was started here last week]
Al-Farouq Aminu, Wake Forest [unfortunately, unavailable]
Danny Green [6-6, 208, OG/SF, UNC]
Dante Cunningham [6-8, 227, PF/SF, Villanova]
Derrick Brown [6-8, 225, SF, Xavier]
Earl Clark [6-10, 226, PF, Louisville]
Marcus Thorton [6-4, 194, OG, LSU]
Nando De Colo [6-5, 190, OG, France]
Sam Young [6-6, 223, SF, Pittsburgh]
Taj Gibson [6-10, 214, PF, USC]
Terrence Williams [6-6, 213, OG, Louisville]
Tyler Hansbrough [6-9, 234, PF, UNC]
Tyler Smith [6-6, 212, OG, Tennessee]
Wayne Ellington [6-5, 202, OG, UNC]
* None of whom should be traded up for *
————————————————————-
In conjunction with:
I. Shifting Chris Bosh back to the Center position;
II. Trading Andrea Bargnani;
and,
III. Trading Shawn Marion.

After Blake Griffin [PF], Ricky Rubio [PG] and Stephen Curry [PG] … there is quick-sand everywhere in this year’s draft which needs to be avoided, if possible.

all sounds good- except for hansborough who wont be available in the mid 20s.
also agree with the move Bosh to the 5 and deal Andrea idea- but I’d re-up the Matrix for the midlevel.

why do you hate Bargs so much?
T-Will would look great in a Raps uniform…

WOW,
re: Bargnani
It’s a gross mis-judgment to think that, “I hate Bargnani.”
I have never said that anywhere.
I have never written that anywhere.
I do not think that of him, or his game.
My observations are strictly of a professional nature.

re: T-Will
He’s not necessarily the first player I would target in this year’s draft for the Raptors but, basically, I agree with you that he would have a solid shot at becoming a solid NBA player with Toronto.
He is a “limited” player and it’s going to be very difficult to ever win a championship with him as your main Center [or Power Forward, or Small Forward, etc.].
