Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, in Raptorville
Dear Mr. Colangelo:
Wheretofor goith the Leadership today for the Toronto Raptors?
——————————–
Chisholm: Where is Bryan Colangelo?
Whether it’s a refusal on his part to accept the flaws in his work or an inability to close the deal on a trade or some newfound paralysis of his own when it comes to making moves is irrelevant; this team needed change weeks ago and yet today they sit as unchanged as ever. They are a withering portrait of Colangelo’s first major failure as Raptors’ GM and everyone is waiting with baited breath for the day when he whitewashes his canvas and begins anew.
———————————
In the aftermath of dismissing Sam Mitchell, as your head coach, earlier this season … which this corner told you bluntly was NOT where your problems lie with this team, at least, not this season.
Know that … once the deed was done, however … Now is NOT the time to succumb to the howls of protestation from the “huddled masses” positioned at the gates of your palace, chomping needlessly at the bit, demanding that a trade of some sort be made to tangibly improve the fortunes of this team immediately.
Patience [and Leadership] is indeed a virtue, understood best by the Wise Man, who has sound judgment, a productive action plan, and a healthy dose of first-class Basketball Acumen, in the core of his being.
A HIGH END NBA GM would not flinch in the midst of this type of season.
Hopefully, I’ve been wrong about you, to this point in time, and you do indeed fit into this specific category.
17 days left and counting …
