Khandor’s example of RAP Hating:
it would not be a surprise at all to see Milwaukee triumph on the scoreboard … given the Raptors lack of QUALITY DEPTH and their REBOUNDING DEFICIENCY.
The only other time in the history of the Toronto Raptors franchise the dinos have started their season with a 3-0 mark was in 2004-2005, which ushered in two years of doom & gloom and, ultimately, resulted in the trading of their only superstar player [i.e. Wince Carter].
Despite a positive start to the regular season, when a team (i) does not have confidence in the players on its bench AND (ii) cannot sustain a Positive Rebounding Differential, over an extended run of games, it is only a matter of time before its W-L record balances out and, quite possibly, tips in the opposite direction.

NOT RAP HATING
Although both of these teams should be in the playoff hunt this season, in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors hold an edge due to the presence of Jose Calderon & Chris Bosh, who are each superior players to their counterparts on the Bucks.

So, stating FACTS (quality depth and rebounding deficiency) is hating? Historically comparing seasons and expressing consequent FACTUAL results, then stating the high probability of the outcome IF those FACTS remain true is hating? Sorry, Sir, I do not agree. It’s simply looking at a situation for what it is, as of NOW, and projecting the outcome IF those FACTS remain true. That’s called living in the real world, a.k.a., not being a patron of Bryan Colangelo’s Kool-Aid Bar.
Praise? Again… FACTS. Then again, IMO, that’s only part of the story, since NBA teams are only as good as their bench.
One of the keys to life is balance, not living on ends of the spectrum (LOVE AND HATE) as you seem to believe it should be.

Great games by the starters, with Jose & Chris outstanding, who I believe can compete with anyone, but I agree with K, the Rap’s are still a work in progress.
Have to develope Ukic or Solomon to play 10/15 mins, while protecting or improving the starters position. Bargnani ( good defense, but no more zeros please) and Kapono the only bench players contributing, while Graham, needs to get in the action as well.
Nothing wrong with a tight effective 8/9 man rotation with the starters playing 32/35 mins per game.

I agree, there’s nothing wrong with developing a tight 8/9-man rotation.
IMO, however, the Raptors would have beaten the 76ers, the Warriors, and the Bucks this past week if they would have played them with the following line-up [and 14/15-man roster]:
STARTERS: Calderon, Carney, Moon, Humphries & Bosh
BENCH: Parker, Kapono, Graham, Bargnani & Nesterovic
RESERVES: Ukic & CDR [or J-Dorsey or Roy HIbbert]
EXTRAS: Solomon, Delfino [?] & Garbajosa
What do you think?
IMO … that line-up right there would not have been beaten up on the boards AND would have won those 3 games by double-digit margins.
Furthermore, IMO … that line-up right there has a lot of flexibility going forward into the future AND is the type of line-up which could possibly WIN a 1st Round Playoff Series this season for the Raptors.
Alas … with Jermaine O’Neal on this year’s team, I fear this is now less of a possibility.

When the losses begin to come for this year’s team, as they surely will … hopefully others will be able to recall what I’ve said here and elsewhere about the acquisition of Jermaine O’Neal … i.e. that in losing Rasho Nesterovic, in the process, and not shifting around the other players they have on their roster into different positions, JO’s arrival alone will NOT be enough to solve the Rebounding Differential problem this team has as a ‘pretender’ in the EC.

GO READ DAVE’S BLOG. Or any sports article in ESPN, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED ETC. There is a huge difference.

What I do and what I write is not like Dave’s blog; not at all.
If it was … then my name would be ‘Dave’.
It’s not though … is it?
It’s khandor … and I don’t write nor do I think exactly like Dave, or ESPN, or Sports Illustrated, or Yahoo Sports!, or anybody else you’d kindly care to mention from the sports blogosphere.
I thoroughly enjoy reading Dave’s blog and contributing there, when it’s appropriate, IMO.
Hopefully this feeling is reciprocated by Dave.
Based on what he’s said to me, thus far, I think it might well be.
If the style of my blog, on the other hand, isn’t quite to YOUR liking … please don’t feel as though is a place to which you HAVE to come, on a regular basis, and contribute your ideas about the topics here.
If you’d prefer, instead, I/we can simply muddle through without you.

- I can tell the difference between your blog, Dave’s and others on the internet. As I only said this because I believe your blog contains very negative viewpoints of the Raptors while others don’t.
